When it’s time to reinvent your Product

Project development is not product development, and we all know that. The two development approaches are very different from each other.
Companies often come from a customer-oriented project world and want to transform themselves and their business models into product-driven companies.

The advantages of the product world are clear.
- Scaling options
- Easier maintenance
- Less operational costs
- More planning certainty
- More focus on the products and technology
- Opportunities to make upsells
Project-driven companies scale mainly by building up the team in a linear growth.
Ideally, product-driven companies scale exponentially.

So the grass on the other side of the fence seems to be greener and lusher. And ideally, we manage to get a big fat cash cow.

But there are numerous difficulties and challenges in achieving this goal.

I have summarized how we transformed from a project-led organization to a product-led organization in this article, and summarized some key insights and techniques we used:
