Agile Product Management and User-Experience (Ux)

7 min readJan 22, 2025

Companies usually develop digital products as part of a digitalization strategy. These new digital products are intended to complement the existing business model or open up new business areas and business models for the company. If the last few years and decades are analyzed in terms of digital disruptions, companies such as Apple (with its iPhone), Uber, Airbnb, and Tesla quickly come to mind. These companies are disrupting entire markets. Tesla is now the most valuable car brand. All these companies and their products have one thing in common: extremely good product management and excellent user experience.

Agile product management vs. classic product management

Modern product management is carried out using agile methodologies.

The word agile comes from the Latin word agilis, which means nimble, flexible or maneuverable. Agile methods are therefore not centrally controlled, but adaptable to changing market situations and customer needs. In contrast to traditional plan-driven product management, agile product management involves continuously gathering feedback from users and customers, feeding this back into product development and not just one product manager creating and driving a plan, but the entire team playing a key role in shaping and developing the product.Usability and user experience are particularly important here and quality is the be-all and end-all of modern agile product management.
